Weed Free Fall Lawns

Dandelion Weed

As we begin the fall season, ridding your lawn of those annoying weeds is paramount to returning it to its glory.  Below are a few tips to help restore your lawn for the fall season.

Cultural Practices

  • Increase Mowing Height - Raising your mowing height will help in the establishment of a healthy, weed-free lawn.
  • Feed Your Lawn - Proper fertilization throughout the growing season will aid in the overall health of your lawn.
  • Remove Debris - Make sure to keep your lawn free of leaves and debris to allow as much sunlight to the turf canopy as possible.
  • Visual Inspection for Weeds - Walk through your lawn periodically to see when weeds begin to appear.
