Pasadena, TX — Control Solutions Inc. (CSI), a hybrid chemical manufacturer of turf management, pest management, animal health, and consumer products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Shoemaker as Field Representative Mid-South for the Quali-Pro division.
With more than 16 years of experience in the turf and ornamental industry, Matt brings a unique combination of business leadership, sales experience, technical agronomy knowledge, and a genuine passion for turf and plant health to the Quali-Pro team.
Matt began his career on the operations side of agricultural chemical distribution and has worked with several leading T&O distributors throughout his career, including Agrium, Harrell’s, WinField, and Heritage Landscape Supply. His experience has taken him from working on the warehouse floor to operations management, category management, and ultimately Regional Agronomic Manager with Heritage Landscape Supply.
In his most recent role, Matt worked directly with end users and national accounts in a B2B sales capacity while also coaching and supporting territory managers. He assisted teams with selling techniques and customer-focused strategies while providing internal and external education on agricultural chemical products, applications, and agronomic solutions. This experience gave Matt a broad understanding of the industry and strengthened his ability to connect technical product knowledge with practical customer needs and business objectives.
Matt’s passion for turf and ornamentals has grown throughout his career. Early on, he made a point of learning from distributor and manufacturing representatives, describing himself as a “sponge” for the knowledge and experience they shared. He eventually began taking products home and applying what he was learning to his own lawn. What started as professional curiosity developed into a genuine personal passion for turf and plant health, which, Matt jokingly describes as becoming a “LawnCare nut.” That passion continues to drive his commitment to learning and is one of the reasons he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Plant Health Management.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Leadership & Human Resource Development. His combination of formal education, hands-on industry experience, sales leadership, and continuing agronomic education provides him with a well-rounded perspective that will serve Quali-Pro’s customers and distribution partners throughout the Mid-South.

Matt lives in Montgomery, Texas, with his wife of 16 years, Brooke, and their two daughters, Aubree and Whitley. Outside of work, he enjoys playing and watching golf and following his favorite teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Astros, LSU Tigers, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Matt’s ability to combine strategic business goals with practical technical solutions will be instrumental in supporting the continued growth and success of Quali-Pro’s Mid-South customers and distribution partners.
